On-Board Recorder (OBR) with Programmable Input Channels

The On-Board Recorder (OBR) with Programmable Input Channels is a 12-channel data recording unit for receiving analog inputs from sensors with input voltage up to 100 Volts.  Each channel can be configured by software setup control.  The unit digitizes each channel at a sample rate of 100,000 samples per second with 12-bits of resolution.  This unit is rated for low shock levels.  The unit can be powered by batteries.  The unit can be recovered for data download, and it may be used multiple times provided that the device is adequately protected from damage in its frame housing.  The unit includes tri-axial rate sensors (up to 6000°/ second) and tri-axial accelerometers (up to 250 g’s).

The OBR is fast, compact and low cost.  Windows software is provided to allow data download and conversion into standard formats.  The software can be used to select and activate channels, adjust sampling rate, and set the record time.  The unit can record up to 12 channels of data into its 2 gigabyte memory.  Users specify the voltage range for each channel, and Syntronics installs the appropriate voltage dividers in the circuitry for the application.  Recorded data can be erased, thereby enabling the device to be reusable.
