CoronaFinder
The CoronaFinder is an extremely compact, battery operated system that is ideal for detecting corona discharge in various environments. Real time viewing means that high voltage equipment can be quickly and thoroughly inspected for evidence of corona discharge that is visible only in the ultraviolet spectrum (see photograph above far right). Clearly identifiable corona discharge seen though the CoronaFinder can be photographed with an optional digital camera that attaches to the CoronaFinder. The CoronaFinder uses a custom designed all Quartz UV lens, a custom manufactured image intensifier tube, and 25mm diameter optical filters for unsurpassed performance in a wide variety of lighting conditions. The CoronaFinder uses a low distortion lens custom designed specifically for imaging in the UV spectrum. The system comes complete with a rugged Pelican™ case, a filter set, and detailed instructions. A digital camera and mounting bracket are also available.
